śaraṁ dhanuṣi sandhāya
muhūrte ’bhijitīśvaraḥ
dadāha tena durbhedyā
haro ’tha tripuro nṛpa
śaram—las flechas; dhanuṣi—en el arco; sandhāya—uniendo; muhūrte abhijiti—al mediodía; īśvaraḥ—el Señor Śiva; dadāha—incendió; tena—con ellas (con las flechas); durbhedyāḥ—muy difícil de herir; haraḥ—el Señor Śiva; atha—de este modo; tri-puraḥ—las tres residencias de los demonios; nṛpa—¡oh, rey Yudhiṣṭhira!
My dear King Yudhiṣṭhira, the most powerful Lord Śiva joined the arrows to his bow, and at noon he set fire to all three residences of the demons and thus destroyed them.
