dekhiyā ta’ chadma kaila yena dekhe nāñi
mukundere puche, — kāhāṅ bhāratī-gosāñi
dekhiyā — seeing; ta’ — certainly; chadma kaila — pretended; yena — as if; dekhe — sees; nāñi — not; mukundere puche — inquired from Mukunda; kāhāṅ — where; bhāratī-gosāñi — Brahmānanda Bhāratī, my spiritual master.
Seeing Brahmānanda Bhāratī wearing the deerskin, Caitanya Mahāprabhu pretended not to see him. Instead, He asked Mukunda Datta, “Where is Brahmānanda Bhāratī, My spiritual master?”
