gambhīrā-bhitare rātre nāhi nidrā-lava
bhitte mukha-śira ghaṣe, kṣata haya saba
gambhīrā-bhitare—en la habitación interior; rātre—de noche; nāhi—no hay; nidrā-lava—un instante de sueño; bhitte—la pared; mukha—boca; śira—cabeza; ghaṣe—golpear; kṣata—heridas; haya—hay; saba—toda.
Pasado el corredor, hay una pequeña habitación, la Gambhīrā. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu solía pasar en ella Su tiempo, pero no dormía ni por un momento. Durante toda la noche, debido a Su agitación, golpeaba con fuerza la boca y la cabeza contra la pared; las heridas marcaban todo Su rostro.
