kṣaṇe bāhya haila mana,āge dekhe dui jana,
tāṅre puche, — āmi nā caitanya?
svapna-prāya ki dekhinu,
kibā āmi pralāpinu,
tomarā kichu śuniyācha dainya?

kṣaṇe—en un instante; bāhya—fuera; haila—se volvió; mana—la mente; āge—en frente; dekhe—ve; dui jana—dos personas; tāṅre—a ellos; puche—pregunta; āmi—Yo;—no; caitanya—consciente; svapna-prāya—casi soñando; ki—qué; dekhinu—he visto; kibā—qué; āmi—Yo; pralāpinu—he hablado en Mi locura; tomarā—vosotros; kichu—algo; śuniyācha—habéis escuchado; dainya—humildad.

Pasado un instante, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu recuperó la conciencia externa y vio ante Sí a dos personas. Entonces, queriendo saber, les preguntó: «¿Estaba inconsciente? ¿Qué sueños he tenido? ¿Qué locuras he dicho? ¿Me habéis escuchado expresiones de humildad?»

When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu thus spoke in ecstasy, He saw two persons before Him. One was His secretary, Svarūpa Dāmodara, and the other was Rāya Rāmānanda. Coming to His external consciousness, He saw them both present, and although He was still talking in the ecstasy of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, He immediately began to question whether He was the same Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
